Well, I had an eye appt this week and turns out, I need glasses. *sigh* My vision isn’t too bad, but I am having a hard time looking at details, which I really need for my work.
At first I thought I needed just readers, then found out I also need computer glasses. And now with the new script for the bi-focals, turns out I need my distance corrected as well. It’s not horrible, but if I am going with progressive lens, then they are going to correct my distance as well.
I am not sure exactly how I feel about wearing glasses. Growing up I wanted to wear glasses so bad and now that I am older, I am not agaisnt wearing them. And the frames I picked out are awesome and I wouldn’t mind wearing everyday. But it’s going to be an adjustment.
I have checked into contacts and I can get that as well, but need to be fitted for them. But that is down the road. I may get them for the days I don’t feel like wearing glasses. But right now, one step at a time.
I went with the most basic lens there is, just to start out with.
For my computer glasses, I plan on going back to my eye doc and getting the ones my insurance will cover. I don’t need fabulous glasses and I don’t need them with the progressive lens, since I basically will be using these in my studio. It’s not like I plan on putting a fashion show…LOL It’s just me and sometimes my oldest daughter working in my studio. 😛
I am hoping my glasses will be here soon. Right now, they will come in on the 6th, but I know I need to open my stores before then. I just hope I don’t make any errors in the meantime. I most likely will have my daughter double check orders for me in the meantime. 🙂
